Pavan Davuluri to lead Microsoft’s product team

Microsoft has announced the appointment of Pavan Davuluri to lead a team focused on Windows software, devices portfolio and semiconductor chips. The company has also announced the departure of longtime product chief Panos Panay.

 

The team led by Davuluri will "build silicon, systems and devices that span Windows, client and cloud for an AI world," according to an email by Rajesh Jha, Executive Vice President of Experiences and Devices Group at Microsoft to his staff, reported by a news source.

 

Davuluri will report to Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella, according to a news source.

 

Davuluri is a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. He also pursued a Master of Science degree at the University of Maryland in the United States.

 

He has been associated with Microsoft since the very beginning of his career.

   

Throughout his career, Davuluri has held various positions at Microsoft. His most recent role prior to this promotion was as Corporate Vice President, overseeing Windows Silicon and Systems Integration.
