Microsoft Edge delivering new feature to overtake Google Chrome

Microsoft Edge browser has been coming up with various features as it is trying to overtake Google Chrome. Microsoft has recently announced a new feature, Vertical Tabs, which moves the tab bar from the top to the left side in a vertical layout.

As per news source, the user can switch between the old and new layout with one click. In addition, Vertical Tabs allows user to reorganize the active tabs because it also supports drag and drop.

This feature is not yet available, it will be available in the browser later this year.

Microsoft Edge has been launching news features for last few months like price comparison in Collections for holiday shoppers, the Web Capture screenshot tool, and Automatic Profile Switching to help user separate work from leisure activity.

Edge also recently updated the PDF experience allowing user to add notes, and offered the ability to search for work files in Edge directly from the address bar.

Based on the same Chromium browser engine, both Edge and Google Chrome offer similar features and functionality. So, far Edge has differentiated itself by boasting of its privacy and security features, which it claims can beat Google’s browser in tests by NSS Labs.
