Zaggle designates Siva Kumar as new CTO

Zaggle has announced the appointment of Siva Kumar as their new Chief Technology Officer. He will be based out of Hyderabad and will head the Technology reporting directly to Founder, Raj. N. Phani.
Raj N. Phani, Founder, Zaggle comments, “We are certain that Siva Kumar with his diverse knowledge and expertise would benefit the organisation and will not only add to the growth of the company, but would bring in newer technological innovation at a product level. Given the current scenario and growth in the digital payments space, his appointment comes at the right time and we are confident that he would prove to be a great asset as he builds a strong momentum in the working of the organisation”.
Kumar comes from top-notch educational institutes from India. He is an engineer from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai and has finished his Executive Program in Business Management from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
With an experience of 23+ years in engineering management and software development, Kumar is a passionate senior technologist and engineering leader.
“I have worked with startups previously and each has a different experience. I am excited to take on this new responsibility as CTO and look forward to the challenges and opportunities Zaggle has to offer. Moreover the company has an experienced senior management team and I’m excited to work closely with them.” says Siva Kumar.
In his previous role, he was heading the technology as Group CTO for People Combine group which runs various school brands including Oakridge International Schools. Prior to that, he was associated with brands like University (an EdTech startup), Ibibo (eCommerce startup), Quark (desktop publishing software) etc. He was instrumental in building various products from scratch at Ibibo. Goibibo and PayU are some of the products he helped building from scratch which have become billion-dollar companies.
