Paytm Launches India’s First Solar Soundbox for Merchants

In a groundbreaking move, Paytm has unveiled India’s First Solar Soundbox, revolutionizing digital payments for merchants across the country. The Paytm Solar Soundbox is designed to provide real-time payment alerts while operating efficiently on solar energy, ensuring seamless transactions even in areas with inconsistent electricity supply.
The Made in India Paytm Solar Soundbox is an environmentally friendly solution that uses a low-cost alternative energy source, ensuring that merchants in rural and remote areas as well as places experiencing electricity shortage can be a part of the digital ecosystem. This affordable device is equipped with a solar panel on top, allowing it to auto-charge under sunlight.
The Solar-Powered Soundbox aims to enhance the transaction experience for Paytm Merchants, particularly in rural and semi-urban regions where power cuts are frequent. This innovative device ensures that merchants never miss a payment notification, thanks to its sustainable energy source. It features two batteries—one that charges with solar energy and another that charges with electricity. Even if completely discharged, the solar battery can provide a full day of power after just 2-3 hours of sun exposure, while the electricity-powered battery can last up to 10 days without recharging.
Solar-Powered Charging – The device is equipped with a built-in solar panel, reducing dependency on electricity and ensuring uninterrupted service.
Instant Payment Alerts – Merchants receive real-time voice notifications for successful transactions, making cashless payments more efficient.
Long Battery Life – The soundbox operates for extended hours even in low-light conditions, ensuring reliability.
Compact and Durable Design – The lightweight and sturdy build makes it suitable for a variety of business environments, from street vendors to retail stores.
Supports Multiple Payment Methods – Accepts payments through Paytm QR codes, UPI, and other digital wallets, providing versatility.
