Coredge IO rolls out affordable AI inference platform powered by Qualcomm

Coredge IO has come up with a new AI Inference-as-a-Service platform to make advanced AI accessible and affordable for businesses of all sizes. The platform, introduced at the IMC 2024, is powered by Qualcomm’s AI 100 Ultra. It seeks to deliver an affordable solution for deploying AI models at scale, addressing the high costs usually associated with AI inference.
Coredge IO, which was recently acquired by Sirius Digitech—a joint venture between Adani Group and Sirius International Holding—focuses on creating advanced sovereign cloud and AI technologies for government and enterprise clients.
Its AI Inference-as-a-Service platform provides users with a flexible, pay-as-you-go model, allowing them to pay only for the computational resources utilized during AI inference, thereby significantly reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO).
Qualcomm, an essential technology partner in this initiative, regards its partnership with Coredge IO as a vital step in enhancing India’s AI capabilities. Savi Soin, Senior Vice President of Qualcomm India, emphasized that the platform will provide developers with new opportunities to create advanced cloud applications at significantly lower costs than usual.
The AI 100 Ultra accelerator, known for its energy efficiency and ability to manage large language models and generative AI, allows businesses to implement AI models without incurring high expenses.
Coredge IO’s AI Inference-as-a-Service platform is tailored to meet the needs of a wide range of users, including startups, small businesses, large enterprises, and independent AI developers. Its scalable design enables businesses to implement AI solutions effectively, even without the resources to support dedicated AI infrastructure.
Additionally, the platform supports regional language models, in line with India’s Bhashini initiative, which aims to promote local language AI development.
Along with offering an affordable AI solution, Coredge IO intends to enhance the platform's functionalities by integrating it into a decentralized Web 3.0 architecture in the future. This change would allow for resource sharing within a secure, distributed network, further increasing the accessibility of AI inference.
Coredge, at IMC 2024, showcased the platform’s capabilities to industry leaders, government representatives, and AI innovators, illustrating its potential to shape the future of AI in India.
With its focus on affordability, scalability, and regional language support, the platform is ready to make a substantial impact on AI adoption in various sectors.
