Google and ElectricPe partner to integrate EV charging stations information into Google Maps

Google has collaborated with Bengaluru-based EV startup ElectricPe. The partnership aims to integrate EV charging station information into Google Maps. With this, users will get real-time availability and status of EV charging points. The development is part of Google’s broader strategy to introduce new features and improve user experience on Google Maps. This feature will be live on both Google Maps and Google Search and it will be expanded to other regions.

Established in May 2021 by Avinash Sharma and Raghav Rohila, ElectricPe connects users to charging points across India. Users can scan the QR code through the app and charge their vehicles, and complete the payment as well. The company had partnered with Hero Electric to set up charging points in apartments, commercial complexes and other establishments across India.

The startup has bagged $8.29 million from Blume Ventures and others till date.

As per the company, it operates over 25,000 public chargers in Bengaluru, making it the largest network in the city.
