Databricks Appoints Anil Bhasin To Head India Business Databricks, the Data and AI pioneer of the data lakehouse architecture, appoints proven business leader, Anil Bhasin, to head the India business.
Databricks is an American enterprise software company founded by the creators of Apache Spark. Databricks develops a web-based platform for working with Spark, that provides automated cluster management and IPython-style notebooks.
Databricks was founded in 2013 by the original creators of Apache Spark™, Delta Lake and MLflow. As the world’s first and only lakehouse platform in the cloud, Databricks combines the best of data warehouses and data lakes to offer an open and unified platform for data and AI. Databricks is on a mission to help data teams solve the world's toughest problems.
Anil is veteran in the Indian Tech Industry, he quit Robotic Process Automation (RPA) firm UiPath last month in July 2022 as Managing Director and Vice-President, India, and South Asia, before this Anil had served as the Regional Vice President, India & SAARC at cyber security firm Palo Alto Networks.
UiPath’s Automation Platform is designed to transform the way humans work, providing customers with a robust set of capabilities to discover automation opportunities and build, manage, run, engage, measure, and govern automations across departments within an organisation. Anil was responsible for scaling the business and technology units within the company’s India and South Asia operations”.
