Microsoft has a warning for all Android phone users

Seems the blame game is on as the competition arises among android, IOS. Previously, Windows Mobile’s failure was Windows itself, an OS designed for a big screen, crammed into a little screen product. Seems Microsoft is looking for the break into this incredible mobile phone business.
An expert says, all the mobile phone, weather it is an android or IOS phone, it can be hacked .However, if there is right mobile device management software used, it is very difficult for the hackers to hack the phone.
The Indian mobile market is growing rapidly and thanks to huge online discounts and aggressive launches the brands are able to sell huge volumes. A survey says, Chinese smartphone brands - Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Oneplus accounts have a 73% market share in India, while rest is taken by Samsung, Asus, Apple, Google and others.
India is the second-largest mobile market, ahead of the US with over 400 million smartphone users whereas China leads in terms of the number of users. As per counterpoint research, about 33% of phones sold are in Rs. 11,000 to Rs. 18,000 price range, and is the fastest-growing segment.
Microsoft sends a warning message for all Android phone users. It has found a new ransomware that is targeting Android smartphones and has issued an alert about it. According to reports, this ransomware is called MalLocker.B and is spreading to Android phones via online forums and websites. Android’s dominance in the Indian smartphone industry with more than 80% market share . A user doesn’t have the option to switch over .
The hidden MalLocker.B malicious Android apps in most cases so it is very important to be careful when you are downloading apps from websites. Once in the phone, MalLocker.B prevents the user from accessing the phone screen. Unlike other ransomware, MalLocker.B does not encrypt the device. Instead it freezes the phone screen and displays a message that claims to be from a law enforcement agency and asks for a fine to unlock the screen.
MalLocker.B takes advantage of the ‘call’ notification, according to reports, and when users get an incoming call, the ransomware gets activated. And when the user presses the home button or the recent app button, the screen immediately gets locked and you see the message about the fine.
Microsoft says that, the Android ransomware, MalLocker.B does not block access to files by encrypting anything. It just blocks access to the screen that appears over every other window in a way that users can do nothing, Microsoft explained. The ransom note users can see on the screen contain threats and instructions to pay the ransom.
