Nandan Nilekani is an Indian entrepreneur, bureaucrat, and politician. He was the Chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in the rank of a Cabinet Minister. He was previously the co-chairman, Infosys Technologies Limited, which he co-founded in 1981. He is responsible for implementing the Multipurpose National Identity Card, or Unique Identity card (UID Card) project in India. Nandan received the prestigious Padma Bhushan. Nandan Nilekani is the author of “Imagining India” and co- authored his second book with Viral Shah, “Rebooting India: Realizing a Billion Aspirations”.
