PM Modi meets Captain Amol Yadav for building a six-seater aircraft

Captain Amol Yadav has built an experimental aircraft, following which Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to meet him on Sunday.

Captain Amol Yadav built the six-seater aircraft on the terrace of his residential building in suburban Mumbai and spent about 18 years perfecting the model.

He faced difficulties in getting regulatory clearances from Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to process his Permit To Fly’ since 2011. He received clearance just three days ago on the directions from PM Modi.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on learning about Amol Yadav's struggle for the permit, brought it to the notice of PM Modi. Later on PM Modi's intervention, the young pilot’s request was quickly processed and he received his 'Permit to Fly' clearance from DGCA.

Captain Amol Yadav expressed his gratitude to the PM for helping him achieve his dream of building a completely indigenous aircraft.
