Authenticate your legal documents with Adobe Sign

A new generation of digital signatures that work across desktop, mobile, and the web or Cloud, takes only seconds but it delivers a great signer experience, while reducing identity fraud concerns for the company, Adobe said in a statement late Tuesday.

The Cloud-based digital signatures, or 'remote signatures,' meet the highest levels of compliance and assurance for signer authentication. Each signer is issued a certificate-based digital ID by a Trust Service Provider (TSP). When signing a document, the ID is used with a personal PIN and other verification steps to prove the signer's identity.

Implementing an e-signature solution is a simple way to digitally transform a company, attract new business online, and help customers save time in any enrollment or onboarding process. But for some industries, especially banking and other financial services, e-signatures are a no-go unless they can confidently verify the identity of their customers before providing  digital on boarding services. To help banking and financial services companies go further paperless, Adobe has announced a new signer identification feature called “Government ID Authentication” that uses a physical ID, like a driver’s license or passport, as a form of digital ID authentication. When enabled, signers are guided through the simple process of using their mobile phone to snap a photo of a physical ID card.

“Adobe Sign” evaluates the ID card’s security features like patterns, fonts and layout, to authenticate the identity of the signer and allow them to complete the signature process.

“Providing this higher level of signer identity authentication will help our customers implement e-signatures in a whole host of new business processes,” said Mike Prizament, Senior Product Marketing Manager,Document Cloud.

Mike is a senior product marketing manager with Adobe Document Cloud and leads core product marketing for Adobe Sign. At Adobe, Mike focuses on driving the e-signature roadmap and vision, helping customers discover and become successful with Adobe Sign, and expand the marketing leadership of Adobe Document Cloud. He has over a decade of experience in the technology industry, working for some of the world’s largest organizations, as well as fast-growing startups.

Many of the world’s largest financial service providers already trust Adobe Sign for their customers’ digital enrollment.

To integrate e-signatures into HR solution-based processes that eliminates paper-based workflows, Adobe also announced expanded integrations with Microsoft Dynamics 365.

“To support HR organisations, we’re releasing new, industry first integrations with two powerful HR solutions: Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Talent and ServiceNow HR Service Delivery,” said Prizament.

The Adobe Sign Digital ID Preselection feature is available to all levels of service

Feature description

Digital ID Provider (IdP) Preselection allows the account or group admin to identify which IdPs are acceptable when recipients are signing your documents.

A full list of the available Cloud-based Digital ID Providers is listed for the admin to enable.

Admins can define different settings for internal recipients vs external recipients.

Admins can define a preferred vendor for their internal recipients.

Signers are only able to successfully sign using a Digital ID provided through an enabled IdP.

If only one provider is permitted, the signer skips the selection process, and is delivered directly to the approved IdPs authentication process.

Companies that have a relationship with a restricted IdP (eg: BankID) can provide their Account ID to their vendor, and have that IdP enabled for their recipients

As per the company, Adobe Sign is the first and only e-signature solution to be integrated with these HR platforms, giving Adobe customers even greater choice in how they adopt e-signatures into employee-centric processes.
