In the recently held two day conference in the silicon valley of Bengaluru, ITI Ltd. has partnered with 58 start-ups and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), covering the manufacturing of a wide range of ICT and IoT-based solutions, where 400 start-ups have applied for. The conference was attended by 1000 delegates that pertained to topics including start-ups, IoT and defence technology.

There were 8 agreements signed today in the presence of Union Telecom and Communications Minister Manoj Sinha and Telecom Secretary and Chairman of the Telecom Commission Aruna Sundararajan on the sidelines of the first edition of ITI's two-day 'ICT & IoT Start-up Tech Expo' in Bengaluru. The agreements will help ITI diversify its manufacturing capabilities in partnership with the start-ups, thereby supporting the sustainable turnaround of ITI.

The event also witnessed signing the Transfer of Technology (ToT) agreements with eight companies, including TEC, 3S Sensor, Nivetti Systems, Lekha Wireless, Quantum Storage, Innoworx, AGT and Cambium Networks.

“ITI is at a watershed moment. I don’t think there are any PSUs in this country or anywhere else in the world, where after 16 years they are beginning to return to the status of jewelled assets of the country,” Aruna Sundararajan, Telecom Secretary said.
