'We are complementing start-ups to manufacture and market their products'

The two long day event organised by ITI provided an effective platform for start-ups to convert their innovative ideas into marketable products and services.

“Young India should serve India. As India is moving towards more than 20,000 start-ups, it is becoming the second largest ecosystem for start-ups in the world. Funds will not be a problem. If a good innovation comes to us and manufactures a marketable product, then government has no dearth of funds to support such companies financially,” said ITI’s Director (Marketing and HR) R M Agarwal.

He further explained, “We are complementing each other (ITI and start-ups). Start-ups are having technology with them, but they want a manufacturing infrastructure to manufacture their products, marketing setup to market those things. So we are complimenting them.”

The agreements signed would also help ITI diversify its manufacturing capabilities in partnership with the start-ups thereby supporting the sustainable turnaround of ITI. These include civil and military advanced radar systems and the fifth generation or 5G technology products. The other areas include data storage and networking solutions, digital security, advanced metering, and Wi-Fi products.
