Elon Musk's xAI is looking for Hindi-speaking 'AI tutors'

Tech billionaire Elon Musk's AI venture, xAI, is in search of AI tutors who are knowledgeable in at least two languages, including Hindi. Musk confirmed that the position pays up to $65 per hour, roughly equivalent to Rs 5,500.
The role of 'AI Tutor - Bilingual' involves training xAI's models using data in various languages. While proficiency in English is required, candidates can choose a second language from Hindi, French, Chinese, or Arabic.
The role is set to last six months and offers remote work benefits, with applications welcomed from candidates globally. This means eligible individuals from India are encouraged to apply. However, their pay may differ depending on whether they select or are assigned to work from the office or remotely.
The position requires candidates to be fluent in English as well as one of the secondary languages, including Hindi. This means the candidate must be proficient in both reading and writing in that language.
The job description further mentions that selected candidates for the role of AI Tutor will work on projects that will be focused on enhancing xAI’s generative AI models. For that, professional knowledge of the language, research skills, and the ability to handle content in English and one of the listed languages is mandatory.
Candidates with experience in technical writing, journalism, or professional writing, along with proficiency in one of the listed languages, will be favored. The company will require applicants to take a test to evaluate their language skills, which will inform the shortlisting process for the next round.
Musk stated that xAI is offering hourly pay ranging from $35 to $65 (approximately Rs 2,900 to Rs 5,500) based on candidates' expertise and qualifications. AI Tutors will work from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm in their respective time zones. The position also includes additional benefits such as medical and dental coverage.
