Rubrik Unveils Data Security Posture Management for Microsoft 365 Copilot to Strengthen Data Protection Amid AI Adoption

US-based cybersecurity firm Rubrik has introduced Rubrik Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) for Microsoft 365 Copilot, aimed at providing organizations with enhanced visibility and control over sensitive data. As companies increasingly embrace AI-powered tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot, Rubrik’s DSPM solution addresses concerns surrounding data exposure and compliance risks, enabling smoother, more secure adoption of transformative AI technologies.
The newly launched DSPM for Microsoft 365 Copilot ensures that sensitive data remains secure by offering features such as data visibility, control, and accurate data labeling. With Copilot leveraging business content to generate contextual responses, Rubrik DSPM safeguards sensitive data by mitigating risks associated with misconfigurations in access permissions and labeling errors.
Speaking on the launch, Abhilash Purushothaman, Vice President and General Manager of Rubrik (Asia), said, "As organizations prepare to embrace AI tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot, the lack of platforms that can control access to sensitive data has become a significant barrier. Rubrik aims to mitigate these risks and enable accelerated AI adoption without the fear of sensitive data exposure or regulatory repercussions."
Rubrik's solution arrives as the volume of Microsoft 365 customers in India continues to grow, heightening the complexity of managing sensitive information. The DSPM platform is designed to help organizations prepare their Microsoft 365 environments for secure Copilot adoption, offering critical features such as detecting high-risk access permissions and ensuring accurate data labeling.
Mike Tornicasa, Chief Business Officer at Rubrik, further emphasized, "Rubrik DSPM for Microsoft 365 Copilot helps safeguard business-critical assets, allowing organizations to leverage the power of AI tools like Copilot while maintaining a strong data security posture and ensuring cyber recovery."
