Lenovo launched a Shared Support Center to expand technology services and innovation capability in India

Lenovo, a global technology powerhouse, takes another significant step in its commitment to India through advancing technology solutions and innovation capabilities by launching its Shared Support Center in Bengaluru. The facility, which will serve Lenovo’s customers globally, includes a Network Operating Centre (NOC) and Security Operation Centre (SOC). The center is designed to deliver Remote Infrastructure Managed Services (RIM).

 

Benefiting Lenovo’s customers worldwide

The facility brings an array of benefits to Lenovo’s customers worldwide. In the initial phase, the Shared Support Center will deliver a broad suite of Remote Infrastructure Managed Services on servers, operating systems, virtualization, storage, network, data protection, database, middleware, security operations, public cloud operations and vendor management. Customers across the world have the flexibility to choose services tailored to their specific needs, be it hardware, operating system / virtualization, storage, network, database / middleware, or a comprehensive package of all these offerings. The RIM services encompass both managed IT infrastructure support and information security services, adhering to global standards. The Center will also have a complete Digital Workplace Solutions (DWS) setup team to enable and empower Lenovo’s global customers with advanced technology to optimize productivity, enhance security, and create a seamless employee experience in the digital workplace.

 

Contributing to India’s growth and being the technology hub for the world

This Shared Support Center also brings in more job opportunities as the planned multi-year investment is expected to create over 1,000 technical jobs in the next few years, thereby reinforcing India’s position as a strategic location for IT services and innovation. The services provided by the Shared Support Center are suited for all types of organizations, from small and medium businesses with limited IT support, to large enterprises with heterogeneous IT environments. These organizations are spread across sectors such as banking and financial services, retail, manufacturing, energy & utilities, technology services, and telecom.

These include manufacturing for PC, tablets and mobile phones, a development center for Cloud/Software, and 24x7 services support.
