TTD takes the digital transformation route with the help of Jio Platforms

Aimed at inching towards a complete digital transformation at the richest Hindu temples body in the world, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has signed an MoU with Jio Platforms.


The MoU was exchanged in the presence of the representatives from Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) and the TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy, EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy and additional EO AV Dharma Reddy at Annamayya Bhavan at Tirumala on Friday.

 

As part of the MoU, JPL will extend support to the TTD in providing software development and support; IT infrastructure development and support; mobilizing IT resources, provide cyber security tools, maintenance of TTD’s web portal; digital media promotion, network connectivity (h) setup to deliver live video feeds for eDarshan for TTD.

 

YV Subba Reddy while speaking to the media said that the temple body had toyed with the idea of working with JPL after back to back glitches were reported on its official website whenever online darshan tickets quota was being released recently.

 

TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy said that the pact with Jio is crucial as it will help the temple body in achieving digital transformation aimed at facilitating pilgrim friendly measures in the future.

 

Amar Nagaram, project advisor for future tech investments to the TTD who played a key role for this pact said that the digital transformation at the temple will not only be fascinating for the temple body but more importantly for the devotees of Lord Venkateswara worldwide as well.
