Government nods for production of oxygen concentrators by IIT K-incubated Startup

The production of oxygen concentrators by IIT Kanpur-incubated Indeema Fibres has received a nod from the Department of Science and Technology. The startup along with its sister concern ChemDist Membrane Systems will come up with its first batch of concentrators by May 25. The concentrators are for COVID-19 patients whose oxygen saturation levels have dipped to between 80%-90%.
Last year, Indeema Fibres was credited with making international standard N-95 during the start of the pandemic. Over the past year, the startup was also working on lightweight oxygen concentrators for Indian Army soldiers posted at high altitudes.
