Bengaluru Businessman loses Rs 45.7 lakh two days after his sim goes dead

The number of users of Google’s virtual assistant service has been increasing, says the company. The company claimed that its service is being used by more than 500 million people across globe which in turn means that Google Assistant has access to over 500 million devices and has surpassed Amazon.

Earlier Amazon has reported that more than 100 million gadgets packed with Alexa voice assistant were sold which means Google has easily beaten the company. It also means that Google has access to more number of devices and AI-infused virtual assistant has been accumulating more data and can recognize more patterns. It highlights that Google Assistant can provide better and relevant result when compared to Alexa. But the major concern is Google’s Android operating system runs on about 2.5 billion devices. The 500 million figure shows that Google Assistant is being used only on lesser than a fourth of all Android devices. This points to the service either not being used on about two billion Android devices. This could be either due to the service not being available, or users refusing to use it.

Google has larger reach, Google’s Assistant could be used on a large percentage of Android smartphones out there. The company is yet to gain grounds of the big data offered by about two billion devices.
