Raising Adoption Of IoT, will Improve Security
By MYBRANDBOOK
The ‘Internet of Things (IoT)’ is a network of devices, vehicles and home appliances with embedded hardware, software, actuators, connectivity and logic to control these. Exchange of data/information is an essential function of an IoT network, which is achieved with good connectivity of different devices and IoT is a growing system of billions of devices — or things — worldwide that connect to the internet and to each other through wireless networks.
IoT is known for machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity and also called Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). IoT is used in many industries ,which are the able to turn any THING (a good/object/machine/appliance/building/animal/plant...) into a smart object. This smart object will in turn be able to connect, monitor, manage, control, search and more without the necessity for human intervention (almost automatically). IoT devices contain sensors and mini-computer processors that act on the data collected by the sensors via machine learning. Essentially, IoT devices are mini computers, connected to the internet, and are vulnerable to malware and hacking.
Benefits of IoT :
The Internet of Things is designed to make our lives more convenient and the smart bathroom scales working in tandem with your treadmill, delivering food preparation ideas to your laptop or smartphone, so you stay healthy.
* Security devices monitoring your home, turning lights on and off as you enter and exit rooms, and streaming video so you can check in while you’re away.
* Smart voice assistants placing your usual takeout order on command, making it a breeze to get fresh food delivered to your door.
IoT is rapidly accelerating the pace of digital transformation across every industry across the globe. The IoT applications and finally apply various analytical and ML techniques on the IoT data, which could enable individuals and companies to capitalize on the multi-billion-dollar IoT market.
Lastly, no IoT project is useful until the raw data captured from devices on the field is converted into actionable business insights. This critical task is accomplished by deploying various analytics and Machine Learning techniques.
