Robot Is Ready for Rescue Operations

When a robot can increase the speed of internet, social media increasing the number of likes and retweet and also bringing certain quality leads from the collected unstructured database. Similarly, student of the Sapthagiri College of Engineering, Bengaluru have developed a six-legged, spider-shaped robot( Hexapod). This hexapod is aimed at helping in search and rescue operations.

 

The hexapod has unlimited range and is claimed to be controlled by using an internet-connected smartphone from anywhere in the world and features a mic for communication during calamities. The robot can avoid obstacles by itself using an Arduino sensor.

 

The robot is inspired from the movement of insects and can be usedin mining industries. It has a 360-degree movable camera with live streaming feature, and sensors which enable it to obtain live temperature and humidity readings. It can be also be used in military spying, Nuclear power plants and even for spying purposes in the military. The cost of the prototype is priced at Rs.25,000.
