CERT-In warns users against Multiple Vulnerabilities in Zoom

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has identified a host of vulnerabilities in video conferencing platform Zoom. The vulnerabilities have been found to affect Zoom on-premise meeting connectors and exist due to improper access and control implementation.

The vulnerabilities could allow an unauthorised remote attacker to join a Zoom meeting without appearing to other participants in the video chat, enabling them to obtain video and audio feed of meetings they were not authorised to join, and even disrupt targeted meetings.

Zoom raised the vulnerability last week, while the cyber agency issued the advisory two days ago. In its advisory, CERT-In has advised users to update to the latest version of Zoom on their devices. In order to update Zoom on your laptop, sign in to the Zoom desktop client.

Here, click on your profile picture and check for updates. If a new version is available, download and install it. Users are advised to update the latest version of Zoom to avoid any security issues.
