Ambani to launch its new smartphone in its AGM, also big energy plans

Reliance Industries (RIL) will organize its 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) by video conference on 29th August at 2.00 pm. At the AGM few important announcements will be made which includes the group's 5G rollout schedule and the release of its JioPhone 5G. It is expected that the future road map of various important industries like retail, telecom, and new energy will be made.
Last year at the company’s AGM Ambani introduced its first smartphone - JioPhone Next. Furthermore, the corporation has developed a new energy strategy with Rs 75,000 crore investment spread over three years.
This year the corporation is likely to increase its spending in this area as it shifts its focus to green energy. The RIL AGM today may reveal RIL's future ambitions for its new energy initiatives. This is significant in light of previous policy developments.
