AMD announces Ryzen 6000 Mobile CPUs for laptops

AMD has officially announced its new Ryzen 6000 CPUs. It offers two times better gaming performance, and up to 24 hours of battery life. The integrated graphics on the Ryzen 6000 processors will be powered by AMD RDNA 2 microarchitecture.

These mobile processors will be based on their updated AMD Zen 3+ Core design and will hit up to 5 GHz clock speeds which is 1.3 times faster in terms of processing when compared to the older Ryzen 5000 series mobile processors.

The Ryzen 6000 series comes with up to eight high-performance cores where each one is capable of handling multiple tasks at the same time to deliver 16 threads of processing power. This helps in providing up to 11 percent more single-threaded performance and up to 28 percent faster multithreaded performance over the previous generation.

Lenovo will be the first manufacturer to launch the new ThinkPad Z business notebook based on AMD Ryzen PRO 6000 series processors. The first laptops using the regular AMD Ryzen 6000 series will come from companies including Asus, Dell, and HP. It is aiming to have more than 200 consumer and commercial notebooks.
