Green Card under the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program is much easier’

In the current world it has become a challenge for foreign nationals to gain a permanent residency in the United States. It has been more tightened after recent changes with the VISA rules from the new American President, Donald Trump.

Furthermore, India born individuals are experiencing increasing retrogression in their VISA priority dates. What it means is that they have to wait for 10-15years for their Green Cards under normal sponsored VISA categories. The EB-5 category brings a great opportunity for foreign nationals to get their Immigrant Visa (Green Card) within 18-24 months.

“EB-5 is a Government Mandated Green Card category open to all immigrant hopefuls, including Indian Citizens, who are ready to invest and migrate to the United States within 2 years,” informed New York Immigrant Fund (NYIF) team headed by Arun Nanda.

“A lot of Indians are desirous to live an American Dream but most are bogged down by lack of sponsorship—employment or familial. Those who have sponsorship are bogged by agonizing wait period. On the other side, the US Government is implementing strict Visa rules making it even more difficult for Indian work-force to get non-immigrant employment visas. A minuscule percent of the Indian people are aware that they can explore American Government mandated EB-5, The Immigrant Investor Program. The purpose of our visit is to create awareness about this program through our Indian partner, CrossBorders,” informed Arun Nanda.

The NYIF team is on an Indian tour, part of which, it has reached Hyderabad. The team will be camping in Hyderabad, addressing an Industrial Bodies Seminar in Hotel Trident, Madhapur on 22nd February. It will be held at 3pm and will go on till 5pm.

EB-5 visas are the best answer for enterprising Indians as one qualified investment can result in a green card for the applicants, their spouses and children under 21 years of age. The aspirants going through the EB-5 program must meet specific United States Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) requirements to obtain their permanent residency.
