Redmi 9i unveiled in India

Mi India announced the latest Redmi 9i as a part of their bestselling Redmi series of smartphones. Redmi 9i aims to break the memory barrier that exists in the sub-10K segment.

 

Redmi 9i features a 16.5cm (6.53) HD+ IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification allowing better visibility in reading mode. Powering it is the octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 chipset clocked at 2.0 GHz. Redmi 9i aims to bring high RAM and ROM options to the segment by introducing 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB variants. It also has a dedicated microSD card slot allowing expansion up to 512GB.

 

Like its siblings, Redmi 9i is powered by a 5000mAh Enhanced two-day battery providing a longer lifespan as compared to a regular battery. ELB (Enhanced Lifespan Battery) ensures a longer battery lifespan of up to 2.5-3 years.

 

It comes with a 13MP AI camera on the rear with features such as AI Portrait mode, AI scene detection, document scanner and kaleidoscope. It comes with a 5MP AI selfie camera with AI portrait mode, and helps with AI face unlock.

 

Priced at INR 8299 and INR 9299 respectively, Redmi 9i will be available in three colour variants, Nature Green, Sea Blue, Midnight Black in 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB storage variants, the phone will be available across mi.com, Flipkart, Mi Homes and Mi Studios starting 18th September 2020.
