Redmi re-launches the budget smartphone segment Redmi 9

Mi announced the latest addition to their best-selling number series line-up of devices - Redmi 9. The new smartphone brings high value at an affordable price point in line with Redmi’s mission of bringing innovation for everyone.
Designed with Aura Iconic Design, Redmi 9 sports a 16.5cm (6.35) IPS HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio for an immersive viewing experience. The display comes with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. Redmi 9 sports an AI dual camera that can capture crisp and clear images in a variety of situations with ease. The AI selfie camera is powered by a 5MP sensor.
To cater to the increasing media consumption, Redmi is setting the standard in the segment by bringing a minimum of 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage with a dedicated microSD card slot for expansion up to 512GB. Redmi 9 is also available in a 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.
Redmi 9 sports a MediaTek Helio G35, an octa-core gaming chipset which is clocked up to 2.3GHz. The device is paired with a 5000mAh high capacity enhanced battery which enables a 25% longer battery life cycle as compared to conventional smartphone batteries. Redmi 9 runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10 out of the box.
Redmi 9 also upholds the highest levels of quality. Redmi 9 comes equipped with P2i water resistant coating to protect the phone against accidental splashes. Redmi 9 also comes with a pre-installed screen protector.

Redmi 9, available in Carbon Black, Sporty Orange, Sky Blue across mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes and Mi Studios starting 31st August 2020. The retail price is INR 8999 for the 4GB+64GB variant and INR 9999 for the 4GB+128GB variant.
