Deepa Tyagi takes over as interim TEC Chief

Deepa Tyagi has taken over as an interim top official of the Telecommunication Engineering Centre, a testing and certification agency of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
As Radha Mohan Chaturvedi retired, Tyagi has started working as Deputy Director-General and has been given an additional charge as Senior Deputy Director-General at the engineering centre in the absence of a full-time official.
The position holds significance as India has already started mandatory testing of telecom products and equipment in a phased manner, and have strategic plans to expand the existing testing labs or centres.
