TikTok's clone Zynn out from Google Play Store

After removing Mitron and Remove Chinese Apps, Google has now removed yet another app from Play Store, Zynn, a Chinese clone of the video-sharing app TikTok. The app has been accused of plagiarism.

As per a report, many TikTok users have alleged that their content was uploaded on Zynn without their consent. Users have also complained that their accounts have been cloned completely on the Zynn app. Their name, pictures, and videos have started appearing on the clone app and the people have no idea how their content got transported to the app without their permission.

Zynn became one of the most downloaded apps in the US after it was launched in the first week of May. The app was launched on Google Play Store and App Store. In both platforms, it featured under the top ten most downloaded apps. While it is not available on Google Play Store, App Store still has the Zynn app.

The reason behind Zynn’s sudden growth was its reward programme where the users got paid for watching videos on the app and for also making other users download the app. As the report, users got $1 for joining the app, $20 for getting another user to join the app, and $10 for making five other users join the app.
