WhatsApp improves group calls supporting up to 31 participants

The group calling limit on WhatsApp for iOS users has been increased to 31 people with the latest version. With the most recent update, WhatsApp for iOS 23.22.72, group calls with additional participants are made easier. The feature is anticipated to go out gradually even if it is not yet available everywhere.

“WhatsApp has recently released the 23.21.72 update for iOS on the App Store. We discovered that WhatsApp is widely rolling out improved calling to everyone,” according to a news report.

The new update from Meta-owned WhatsApp enables iOS users to pick up to 31 people before placing a group call. In previous updates, group calls already supported up to 32 participants, but users were initially limited to selecting only 15 contacts when initiating such calls.

Steps to initiate group calls on WhatsApp with up to 31 participants

– Open WhatsApp, then tap the CALLS tab.

– Tap New call > New group call.

– Find the contacts you want to add to the call, then tap Voice call.

The latest WhatsApp update is making it easier for iOS users to initiate a group call with 32 participants right from the outset, simplifying and enhancing the calling experience.

The new feature will be rolled out gradually and is available to users who install the latest update from the App Store. If a user is unable to see it then it may be rolled out to his account in the next few weeks.
