Microsoft announces new AI advancements in its Power Platform

At Microsoft's second edition of the Power Platform Conference, the company has announced advancements in Power Platform Copilot, incredible designer updates for Power Automate, and automated environment routing to expedite maker onboarding. 

  

With advanced AI enhancing low-code development, over 126,000 organizations have experienced Power Platform Copilot. The Microsoft Power Platform community has also experienced tremendous growth in the past year, and now boasts of more than 5.2 million monthly active members. This thriving community is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the platform's AI-driven future, and this year's conference was dedicated to helping the Power Platform community maximize its utilization of AI. 

  

Here is a summary of the key announcements – 

 

● Evolved Copilot in Power Apps: New Copilot capabilities in Power Pages are making it significantly easier to build data-driven websites. Developers can now use Copilot in Power Pages to create websites and multi-step forms with just a few sentences and clicks. 

 

● Accelerated Development with Power Automate: Power Automate's new flow designer, combined with AI assistance from Copilot, Microsoft has refined Copilot in Power Automate by expanding its ability to populate more parameters in the flows and actions it generates. 

 

● Managed Environments: Enhancements have been made to automation in Managed Environments to simplify governance and security. It also automates the routing of makers to their respective development environments, making it easy for individuals to use the platform's full capabilities in a scalable and manageable way. Advisor in Managed Environments will also provide proactive recommendations and inline actions, helping administrators stay ahead of security threats on a larger scale.

 

● Extending the Power Platform Community: Building upon the success of the Power Up program, which attracted more than 22,000 participants from over 180 countries, Microsoft has introduced group learning opportunities and invited participants to join the Super Users group, offering exclusive benefits in exchange for contributing to the community's growth.
