"Just because we are good friends, they assumed the worst": Fatima on her & Sanya's relationship

Bollywood actor Fatima Sana Shaikh, who is making headlines for dating Dangal co-actor Sanya Malhotra, laughed at all speculations and said we are just good friends. In an interview Fatima said, “We simply laughed about it. Just because we are good friends, they assumed the worst”.
Fatima was asked about three things that she learnt from Sanya, she said: “I have learnt a lot from her. For one, Sanya likes to keep everything clean. While she is an introvert and I am an extrovert, I learnt to hold myself back at times. I also learnt a lot from her dedication to work.”
Talking about her diverse religious background and upbringing, the actor said: “It makes me feel like the ideal poster girl for secular India. The beauty of our country is that we are so diverse and all of us are okay with just being ourselves, follow our own religion and accept everybody.”
On the work front, Fatima Sana Shaikh will be seen in Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari. The Abhishek Sharma-directorial also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Manoj Bajpayee in the lead. The movie went on floors in January this year where the director said that the team has attempted to recreate ’90s Mumbai with a massive set to showcase a chawl where they were set to shoot.
This is for the first time that moviegoers will see Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh And Fatima Sana Shaikha together on a big screen. Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari is a unique family comedy that draws humour from the quirks of its refreshing yet relatable characters. The world is set in the innocence of the 1990s when there was no social media or mobile phones.
