Samsung rolls out new A-series tablets

Two new Galaxy Tab A9 tablets have been introduced by Samsung. There are two sizes for the Galaxy Tab A9 and A9+: 8.7 inches and 11 inches. The tablets include improved security, lightning-fast networking, and immersive audio and video.  Starting today, the Galaxy Tab A9 series will be available in three colours: graphite, silver, and navy.

The Galaxy Tab A9+ has a 90Hz refresh rate display for smooth gaming and scrolling, and quad speakers powered by Dolby Atmos for immersive sound. It also has 5G connectivity for uninterrupted streaming on the go.

The Galaxy Tab A9, on the other hand, has dual speakers and LTE connectivity. Both tablets unibody designs with a soft-texture back cover.

Samsung hasn’t specified which processors power the tablets but mentioned “octa-core processors”. The Galaxy Tab A9 is supported by a 5100mAh battery whereas the Tab A9+ has a 7040mAh battery.

The two tablets in the Tab A9 series come in two RAM and storage options — 4GB + 64GB and 8GB and 128GB.

Both tablets come with a single 8MP rear camera whereas the selfie cameras differ. On the Galaxy Tab A9, there’s a 2MP front camera whereas the Tab A9+ has a 5MP camera.

The Galaxy Tab A9+ also has PC-level multitasking with Samsung DeX and the multi-active window, which allows users to split the screen into three windows to maximise productivity. Both tablets have a Screen Recorder feature, so users can easily capture their screen for later reference.

The Galaxy Tab A series enables seamless connectivity across Samsung Galaxy devices, so users can easily move content between their mobile phone, tablet, and TV monitor. Quick Share simplifies file sharing without requiring device pairing.
