Microsoft has announced the new affordable Surface Laptop Go 2 device in the market powered by an 11th-gen Intel processor. The company is allowing users to change the keyboard, trackpad, display, battery and the Surflink cable.
The device is powered by an 11th-gen Intel Core i5 processor with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage that is further expandable. Surface Laptop 2 Go comes with a USB Type C port and a regular USB port to connect external devices, with Microsoft still continuing to use its standard Surface Connect port for charging this device.
The laptop has a fingerprint sensor embedded inside the power button, but it is not available in the base configuration. The laptop comes equipped with OmniSonic speakers with Dolby Atmos support. There is a 720P camera on the front for video calls and dual far-field studio mics.
Microsoft says that the Surface Laptop Go 2’s components are user-replaceable. So users can easily replace the faulty components, including the display, trackpad, or keyboard, without any professional.
Surface Laptop Go 2 has a 12.4-inch PixelSense display. Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 prices start from $599 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The figure goes to $699 when the RAM is pushed to 8GB with 128GB storage. The higher 8GB + 256GB variant will cost $799 in the market.
