SAP Labs, the research and development division of global enterprise software leader SAP, has inaugurated its second campus in Bengaluru with a massive €194 million (₹1,750 crore) investment. This expansion reinforces Bengaluru’s status as SAP’s largest R&D hub outside Germany, further establishing India as a critical market for the company’s global operations.
The new SAP Labs India campus has the capacity to host 15,000 employees, significantly increasing its workforce from the existing 14,000 in Bengaluru. According to Sindhu Gangadharan, Managing Director of SAP Labs India, this expansion focuses on AI-driven research and development, enabling cutting-edge enterprise software solutions that will double client productivity.
By leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced cloud technologies, the facility will play a pivotal role in developing next-generation SAP products for industries such as banking, manufacturing, retail, and healthcare.
