Samsung is set to launch two new laptop models under Galaxy Book 2 series: Galaxy Book 2 Pro and Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360. Samsung Galaxy Book 2 series is successor to Galaxy Book laptops that launched globally last year.
The Galaxy Book 2 Pro is a regular thin and light laptop, whereas the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 is a 2-in-1 device. It features a 360-degree hinge that allows users to use it as a laptop as well as tablet. This is the first time that Samsung is bringing the Galaxy Book lineup to India.
Both the laptops support S Pen, though the pen lacks Bluetooth. Samsung has listed the Galaxy Book 2 Pro in two variants based on the display size and processor. The smaller 13.3-inch display variant will only come with the 12th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, while the bigger 15.6-inch variant will be available only with the 12th-generation Intel Core i7 processor.
The Book 2 duo will be based on Intel’s Evo platform. Both the laptops will feature an AMOLED panel. The laptops have Dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, 720p HD webcam. The 13.3-inch model weighs 1.04kg, while the 15.6-inch is the heaviest in the quad lineup at 1.41kg.
The latest Galaxy Book 2 series laptops will come with Windows 11 operating system pre-installed. Although Samsung hasn’t yet revealed the official pricing of the laptops in India, globally, the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 price starts at $1,249.99 (approximately Rs 93,900). The company is yet to reveal the global pricing of the Galaxy Book 2 Pro.
Samsung announced that the laptop will launch on April 1 in Europe and some other parts of the world. With the laptops listed on the company's India website, it is likely that they launch in India too at the same time.
