Taking an initiative to combat the increasing menace of spam and unsolicited calls and messages, BSNL has rolled out a new feature in its mobile app, enabling users to easily report these issues. Interestingly, this unique service is currently not provided by other telecom operators such as Jio, Airtel, and Vi.
The state-owned telecom operator has experienced a significant influx of subscribers after private players such as Jio, Airtel, and Vi implemented a tariff hike of up to 15 per cent on their recharge plans beginning July 3. This increase has led many customers to switch to BSNL.
To attract and keep both new and existing customers, BSNL is prioritizing improvements to its services. The company is in the midst of launching 4G services across the country while also developing its 5G capabilities.
The BSNL's all-new Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC) complaint service helps users to report any fraudulent SMS or voice calls by visiting the BSNL Selfcare app and providing the necessary details to file a complaint.
