HFCL secures Rs.288cr deal from RailTel Corp.

Domestic telecom market HFCL sealed a deal of Rs. 286.96 crores from RailTel Corporations for establishing a data communication network for the defense forces.

 

The order is to be implemented within a year, said HFCL in a regulatory filing.

 

HFCL manufactures high-end transmission and access equipment, optical fibre, and optical fibre cables (OFC). The company works exclusively in setting up modern communication networks for telecom service providers, railways, defence, smart city and surveillance projects.


 

The project consists of setting up a secured optical packet switched network with supply, installation, commissioning, testing and training of security system network hardware and software of various specifications along with the development of IT infrastructure etc, within a year.

 

"We are pleased to inform all our stakeholders that the company has today bagged an order amounting to around Rs 287.96 crore from the RailTel Corporation of India for setting up a secured optical packet-switched network for defense forces," HFCL said.

 

According to the filing, the hardware and the software provided under the project will be under warranty of 2 years.
