By advancing capabilities in new technology across machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to build the next-generation data management and analytics platform, Cloudera remains at the forefront of this digital revolution. Customers are equipped with valuable insights to make data-driven decisions for businesses for competitive advantage

Digitization paving way for opportunities...

With Digital India becoming one of the main drivers of India’s economy, the ability to make smarter decisions and take data-driven action will become a necessity for all industries across the public and private sector and big data analytics solutions will become key enablers.

With an increased reliance on connectivity, cybersecurity will also continue to be a priority in boardroom conversations and more and more organizations will turn to big data analytics to strengthen their cybersecurity capabilities.

Digital disruption will present numerous opportunities for both technology vendors and businesses. With big data and technology holding the power to enable every industry to evolve with changing customer preferences, enable the delivery of innovative products and services, and improve internal working processes, enterprises across verticals are jumping on board.

In fact, the most significant growth opportunities across sectors today are being seen in areas where technology can support new business models and add business value. This also presents an opportunity for the technology industry to continuously innovate, stay ahead of the curve, and develop platforms that are accessible yet meaningful for companies to adopt.
While the right technology and infrastructure is crucial, what ultimately makes everything work is skilled human capital that can create, engage, and sustain the workings of smart cities. However, this is also a major challenge that governments across Asia Pacific (APAC) are facing and this is what spurred us on to launch the Cloudera Big Data Skills Enablement (BASE) Initiative. BASE is an industry-led ecosystem that is designed to groom a future workforce of data professionals and has been launched in Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, China, and Indonesia so far. Soon, we will add India to this list.

Technology Trends to look for...

•         As technology continues to force organizations to innovate, collaboration amongst all stakeholders becomes another key to the betterment of the entire ICT ecosystem. Cloudera recently announced the launch of the Cloudera Solutions Gallery – an online marketplace for Machine Learning and Advanced Analytics Solutions. The Cloudera Solutions Gallery augments the 2,800-strong Cloudera partner ecosystem, offering apps and solutions that align with key business value drivers, including driving customer insights; improving product and services efficiencies; Lowering business risk; and Modernizing architecture.
•         In 2016, Cloudera focused on educating governments and businesses on the value that big data analytics can bring and how they can use data to drive every aspect of their organization. This year, Cloudera wants to bring to life the meaning of “humanizing” technology – the relevance of data and technology for countries, industries, businesses, and individuals, all in efforts to improve business processes and the daily lives of communities across the region.

Commitment to R&D...

As an open source leader, Cloudera works collaboratively with the community on R&D efforts. With this approach, Cloudera innovates and contributes to the community as well. The company believes that through the open source community model, innovation is accelerated and the quality of software is not compromised.
