Telangana IT and Industries Minister, Duddilla Sridhar Babu has requested the German Indian Business Alliance (GIBA) to encourage German companies to explore investment opportunities in semiconductor manufacturing in the state.

The minister said that the Government of Telangana was putting effort to position the state as a semiconductor manufacturing hub and sought greater participation from German companies in the sector.

A meeting held between the GIBA delegation led by Kelsterbach Mayor Manfred Ockel and the minister at the Telangana Secretariat. During the meeting, Sridhar Babu outlined investment opportunities in semiconductors, life sciences, aerospace and defence, electronics, advanced manufacturing, precision engineering, automobiles and automation.    

He said the Telangana government was prepared to facilitate investments by offering expedited approvals, industrial infrastructure, investment incentives and skill-development support.

According to the minister, Telangana’s skilled talent pool and growing industrial ecosystem could offer significant advantages to German companies, while the state could benefit from Germany’s expertise in advanced technologies, precision engineering and advanced manufacturing.

Sridhar Babu also urged the delegation to support the establishment of a Telangana-Germany logistics corridor to facilitate the movement of goods and improve access for Telangana-based exporters to German and wider European markets.

The minister further requested GIBA representatives to promote the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2026, scheduled to take place from December 7 to 9, among German industrialists and encourage their participation in the event.

The meeting was attended by GIBA chairman Selvakumar Periasamy, CEO Nirmal Raman Kannaiyan, Innovation Hub Rhein-Main CEO Stefan Witkindt, and FTCCI representatives KK Maheshwari, Srinivas Garimella, and Vinod Kumar Agarwal among others.
