The Indian government is offering a free cloud storage service that allows users to upload a file, photos, videos, etc from their phone or laptop to store securely on the cloud and access it anywhere they want. Called DigiLocker Drive, it is a part of the entire DigiLocker initiative. The service, instead of letting users find the right document directly from the host, lets them upload data from their phone or PC – just like Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.

The platform also provides an option to electronically sign the uploaded documents/files. These files can be downloaded anytime and shared with others as per requirement.

The service offers 1GB of free cloud storage for citizens to securely store and access documents and files online. It can be used to upload files, photos, and videos from a phone or laptop and access them anywhere.

To access DigiLocker Drive's storage, the user needs to visit the DigiLocker website or download the mobile app. The user can then sign in with existing credentials or create a new account if he/she is a first-time user.

Once logged in, look for the "Drive" option on the left panel of the website or at the bottom of the app's home page. Clicking this will give the user access to his/her free 1GB cloud storage.
