Tackling Modern Cybersecurity Challenges

As organizations grapple with expanding digital attack surfaces, alert fatigue, and fragmented security operations, Fortinet’s enhanced FortiRecon offers a more proactive, attacker’s-eye view of vulnerabilities. The platform helps enterprises prioritize real-world exposures, validate risks like adversaries, and accelerate incident response, ultimately reducing the likelihood and impact of costly cybersecurity breaches.

“CISOs and security teams are overwhelmed by an endless stream of alerts. The latest FortiRecon capabilities deliver AI-driven threat intelligence, automated validation, and rapid response workflows, enabling organizations to cut through the noise and strengthen their cyber defense strategy,” said Nirav Shah, Senior Vice President of Products and Solutions, Fortinet.

According to Gartner by 2026, organizations implementing continuous exposure management will be three times less likely to suffer breaches, highlighting the importance of CTEM-aligned solutions like FortiRecon.

Key Enhancements in FortiRecon

Attack Surface Management – Monitors internal and external vulnerabilities with severity ratings from the National Vulnerability Database (NVD) and FortiRecon’s Active Exploitation ratings, improving patch management.

● Adversary-Centric Threat Intelligence – Delivers insights on dark web activity, ransomware, stolen credentials, and vendor risks, with bulk IOC downloads to boost SOC efficiency.

● Brand Protection – Safeguards against phishing campaigns, rogue apps, domain impersonation, and executive targeting using advanced algorithms.

● Security Orchestration & Automation – Uses AI-powered playbooks to streamline detection and response, helping security teams act faster against emerging cyber threats.

Organizations can leverage FortiFlex credits for FortiRecon Cloud deployment, benefiting from usage-based licensing across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The solution is also available on major cloud marketplaces, supporting customers in meeting cloud spend commitments.

Fortinet was recently recognized as an Overall Leader in the KuppingerCole Leadership Compass for Attack Surface Management 2025, praised for its broad support of CIS, ICS, IoT, and OT environments, and tight integration with Fortinet’s Security Fabric (including FortiGate NGFW, FortiSOAR, FortiSIEM, and FortiDAST).
