With the merger that was announced in 2015 and finalized last September, the combined Dell EMC has one of the most comprehensive portfolio of products and solutions. This will help us to partner with our customers and help them evolve in their journey of Digital Transformation

Digitization paving way for opportunities...

There are opportunities in large/medium enterprises as they embrace and fully integrate digital (think of “digital first”) in their business model. Likewise, there are opportunities in smaller businesses as well – as they leverage digital to scale their reach (think of smaller/growing businesses in T1/T2/T3 cities) across country as well as looking to make their processes/workforce more productive.
The year 2017 is going to clearly focus on a complete digital transformation. Dell EMC will be putting accelerated emphasis on IT transformation, workforce transformation and security transformation. At a technology level, the journey will be cloud-enabled and more industry-standard server hardware oriented.
Also, security will play a major role. 2016 saw organizations realizing the importance of addressing the security controls the cloud provider will incorporate to maintain the customer’s data security, privacy and compliance with necessary regulations.
Dell EMC has set up a division on smart cities, where they are offering services for collating all data from health services, traffic, police, power infrastructure, municipalities, weather division, transport and government services collating data and bringing forth significant information which needed decisions. The goal was to ensure that the interface with citizens and those who seek services will become much easier. Outside of these, Dell EMC plays a key role in areas like city surveillance (data storage, mining, rapid and reliable accessibility etc.) and city networking.

Dell EMC – A strong entity...

Dell EMC recently launched an integrated Dell EMC Partner Program. The program establishes one extraordinary new program that addresses the needs of partners today and into the future, the primary tenets of which are to be simple, predictable and profitable.
Dell EMC has positioned to partner with customers on various facets of digital transformation – including technology for the workforce, technology for the datacenter and technology to keep it all safe and secure. Along with its client portfolio (notebooks, workstations, desktops, thin client devices etc.), the company has strongly positioned itself in the IT transformation space by offering data storage, information security, visualization, analytics and cloud computing solutions. Throughout last year, platform 3 technologies (big data analytics, mobile, social, IoT, cognitive, etc.) or major digital transformation business initiatives were possible in scaled-up implementations with hybrid cloud as the foundation.
Also, with the coming together of Dell and EMC as a strong entity, they will now be able to provide an even more holistic portfolio of services to their partners and customers.

Commitment to R&D...

Last year, Dell EMC opened a second R&D centre in India at Pune. It already has a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. This has enabled Dell EMC to further advance its mission to help customers transform their business by creating their digital future and modernise, automate and transform IT through cloud computing. This has enabled Dell EMC to deliver comprehensive, next-generation technology solutions for its customers.
