BSNL to introduce 4G with 5G NSA network by August

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is planning to launch a 4G service on August 15 this year. BSNL is going to launch 4G as well as 5G networks. However, the 5G network is scheduled to be launched in non-Standalone (NSA) mode on August 15. In which 5G is going to be serviced without an end-to-end 5G network, which the operators use at an early stage where it is providing 5G service from 4G infrastructure with some limitations.

 

According to the report, a top official of the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) has said that he is going to work on proof of concept (POC). C-DoT chairman Rajkumar Upadhyay has said that he is also working on 5G. As far as the 5G NSA is concerned, BSNL can launch it by August 2022. It will be a 4G plus 5G service. The NSA Core may be ready by Independence Day this year.

 

He further said that BSNL 5G SA service is going to be released by the third quarter of next year. He is trying to release 5G NSA services by August this year and 5G SA by next year. Last year, telecom companies increased the price of their prepaid plans even more. After this, people have gone to BSNL. According to the latest report, BSNL is also going to get the benefit of this. Due to its affordable plans, it is becoming a better option for many people. People are waiting for its 4G service. However, where its network is coming good, people are using it. Many of its plans are said to be better than other telecom operators such as Airtel and Jio.
