The Game Plan
Axis has lived up to its brand promise of “Driving Intelligent Technology by bringing together Human Intelligence and Innovative Technology to create Unique Value”. The word “driving” reflects Axis’ energetic and motivated culture which encourages everyone in the Axis ecosystem to think big and continually push boundaries. “Intelligent Technology” is about being open- minded, sharing knowledge, working collectively and creating something that is bigger and better than the sum-total of its parts. It is about developing new technologies, collaborating with different specialists and bringing together the best of human capital to pioneer ways of thinking and new ways of doing things.
For any business to succeed in this competitive world, it is imperative for the brands to be known to potential buyers.
Axis shall drive the technology shift towards network surveillance solutions by development and marketing of high-quality innovative products, strong global cooperation with partners while maintaining the corporate culture. The overall goal of strengthening the position in the network video market will be achieved through the three areas – partners, products and global expansion.
Emergence of the Digi-Era
The Government’s vision of Digital India is to enable a digitally-empowered nation and make sure digitization gives rise to a more informed and safer country. From IoT, Big Data to Cloud, people are now aware and are moving towards digitally-advanced solutions and technology that will provide efficient bandwidth savings, image clarity and storage. As one of the early adopters of IoT with the launch of the security network camera in 1996, Axis Communications believes it represents a very real and practical step forward in how to connect disparate machines and widely dispersed data. IoT will allow network cameras to think independently and make smart decisions on their own, while connected systems will top the chart of emerging trends in 2016.
In order to maintain its market position, R&D has always been a tactical area at Axis Communications. Axis has developed a broad knowledge base through experience of many years and has built up a high level of expertise within network video. Axis products are based on open systems, which mean that they may be easily integrated into other security solutions and that software from partners may be added.
For many years, between 12 and 15 per cent of consolidated sales were invested in research and development in both hardware and software. This really shows how much Axis cares for R&D.
